Manchester.
Please note that we open at 12noon on Mondays and

Science and Industry Museum

The Science and Industry Museum sits in the heart of Manchester,
the world’s first industrial city. It houses the world’s oldest surviving
passenger railway station and the world’s first railway warehouse
from 1830, which are located at the end of the museum site. On a
visit to the museum, you will see amazing objects and learn about
the men and women whose ideas changed the world forever.
Daily demonstrations bring the museum’s world class collection of
textile and industrial machinery to life.
There are interactive exhibits to explore and a regular programme
of changing exhibitions to enjoy.

Etihad Stadium

The new Manchester City Stadium Tour offers an immersive
experience like never before. Explore the changing rooms,
walk the iconic glass players’ tunnel, and sit in the press
conference room alongside a virtual Pep Guardiola.
Highlights include an immersive audio-visual show in the
Home Team dressing room and multilingual guides in French,
German, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, Korean, Arabic, and
Portuguese. Expert City Tour Guides bring every area to life,
making this the most engaging tour in Premier League
football.

National Football Museum
The world’s largest football museum, located in Manchester city centre, is open daily. Discover the history of football through captivating exhibits, including the origins of the game, FA Cup stories, and the cultural impact of football. Highlights include the ball from the 1966 World Cup Final, Geoff Hurst’s shirt, and the Jules Rimet Trophy. Manchester Arena

The AO Arena, operated by ASM Global, is Europe’s largest
indoor sporting arena and one of the busiest venues
globally. Since 1995, it has hosted top-tier entertainment
acts like U2, Madonna, and Lady Gaga, along with major
sporting events, including Commonwealth Games events,
the 2012 Olympic basketball warm-up, and international
boxing matches featuring legends like Mike Tyson. The
Arena is also central to Manchester’s musical heritage, with
historic performances by local bands such as Oasis, Take
That, and The Verve. With a capacity of 23,000, it draws
over a million visitors annually.

Manchester Cathedral

Manchester Cathedral has been centre stage in its city’s history for
nearly 600 years. In 1421 Henry V signed a royal charter granting
permission for a collegiate church to be built.
In 1847 a new Manchester diocese was created and this historic
church became a Cathedral. The doors are open 7 days a week
and the admission is free. Do not miss one of the most interesting
churches in the land at the heart of one of the most exciting cities
on Earth.

Shambles Square

Manchester Police Museum
Come and visit our 1879 Police Station, complete with original cells & charge office! Upstairs we have a 1895 Magistrates Court as well displays of equipment, vehicles and evidence and on the ground f loor. We are open every Tuesday for drop in visits, and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday by appointment for group visits. During the school holidays we also aim to open on Thursdays.

Mr Thomas's Chop House

Manchester Town Hall
Manchester Town Hall in Albert Square is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. Regarded as one of the finest examples of Neo-Gothic architecture in the United Kingdom, it is one of the most important Grade One listed buildings in England. The Town Hall celebrated its 140th birthday in 2017 and a major refurbishment project, Our Town Hall, is starting in January 2018. Although the Town Hall will be closed to the public during the refurbishment, the building can still be viewed from Albert Square.
St. John's Gardens

The Hall is home to three resident orchestras: the Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata. The Hall also programmes its own classical music season, the International Concert Series. The Hall works with a range of promoters and charity hirers on other programming.
